The LawTechLab seeks to build a unique African voice on policy, practice, innovation and access to justice issues informed by developing technologies. CLT is also a place of active applied research in the area of law, technology and society. CLT’s researchers are currently engaged in projects in the domains of artificial intelligence, machine learning, privacy and security, intellectual property, traditional knowledge, legal information management, justice needs of African citizens, etc. Through its networks and by design, the CLT hub is uniquely positioned to advise on leveraging this research into practical solutions for a responsive and modern African justice and legal sector.
